As one of the most popular models Toyota has ever produced, the Camry is a great option for those who seek a fun-to-drive and super-efficient family sedan. The 2020 Camry, which carries over all the updates introduced in the 2018 model, is the best it’s ever been. Featuring a diverse range of powertrains and offering a compliant and smooth ride, the Camry is hard to resist. Not to mention the multitude of driver-assist technologies that come standard throughout the lineup. New for this year is a performance-oriented trim, together with Android Auto™ capability, which was previously unavailable. Do you want to know more about this aesthetic and nimble sedan? The 2020 Toyota Camry offers the same compelling engines that were available in previous years. Entry-level trims get powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. A 301-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 is available on higher grades for those who want more muscle. Both engines are paired with a refined Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission, which provides a smooth ride at highway speeds and helps deliver better gas mileage. In fact, the 2020 Camry boasts a solid blend of performance and efficiency, delivering the best of both worlds. In its base configuration, this sedan earns an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 29 city mpg, 41 highway mpg, and 34 combined mpg. Models with the V6 see ratings drop by 7 mpg in the city and 8 mpg on the highway.
Comprehensive Safety Suite
Following the high safety standards that define the Toyota brand, the 2020 Camry comes with a host of driver-assist features standard across the lineup. This active safety suite, called Toyota Safety Sense-P, gives drivers peace of mind on the road and helps take care of what matters the most. Included on every trim you will find a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert, and automatic high beams.
New TDR trim
Brand new for 2020 and fitting on the top half of the range is the TDR trim. This new model builds upon the existing performance the Camry is recognized for and adds greater handling and styling. This high-performance model features beefier anti-roll bars, tuned shocks, wider lightweight wheels, 12.9-inch front rotors, and a TDR cat-back dual exhaust with polished stainless tips. Inside, the TDR treats you with black sport SofTex®-trimmed seats as well as red accents throughout the cabin.
